Why is Internet Explorer 11 using so much RAM?

I have Windows 7, using IE 11. I get message from windows saying "low memory, please close the following..." Only have a few things open, and looking at the task manager, IE is using almost 1 GB per tab!!??

You need to run maintenance and possibly check for a Trojan. I would suggest you also get google Chrome and remove Explorer. The IE will sometimes mess you up when downloading and it seems to be quite habit forming to do so. If you upgrade to windows 10 your problems of this sort will disappear just as yesterdays weather. Your obsolete system is not getting any better at dealing with the internet and when you open stuff you get a fist full of crap causing you a lot of short circuit memory problems.
