I am trying to delete a Microsoft Word document from my Lumia 550. Various internet postings tell me to do through the Microsoft Office tile. But, given that there is one, how can I delete it?

Since you're using lumia 550, it comes with separate apps for word, excel and powerpoint.

So to delete, go to file explorer app, search for the file you wish to delete and delete it.
