Reverse search using a phone number on contacts page

I'm probably just missing something but when I need to check if a certain phone number is on my device by typing in the phone number, it doesn't work on my contacts page (it does work only in the phone history page which of course does not have all my contacts).

Dear Guest,

You need to type a complete phone number before it can work on people or contacts page. the good this with this is it actually shows all the names associated with the number typed ( incase you have one telephone number with several names)
