SD card write protection how do I format?

Okay so my phone was acting up and I moved to a older build of w10m preview. So when this happened it didn't read my SD card and did not wipe the SD card. Now my SD card will not format and is "write protect" I would like to be able to wipe the card and format it but I will not due to the write protection. Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried cmd.exe on the laptop to clean or turn off read only but nothing helps. I really do not want to lose this SD card to this stupid write protection. Even if I have to wipe all data off the SD card, as long as I can use it in my phone again.

Did you slide the switch on the microSD to SD adapter to the unlock position prior to inserting it into the card reader on your PC? SanDisk microSD memory card is write protected or locked
