So I recently joined the Insider Program to receive the update. And I read that the official Update is finally coming. My wonder is that if we need to go back to windows 8.1 to receive the official update with the recovery tool. Or what should I do? Thanks for your help.

Just sit tight, you have a couple choices.

1. go back to 8.1 if you want to go back to 8.1

2. stay in Insider and stay ahead of the general public most of the time

3. switch over to the production ring and wait for the official updates to arrive. (unless you're on it already if they decide to push the build you're on to everyone)

You don't need to do anything at all. When the update is available for your carrier/region/handset, then you might well get an updated firmware as an OTA.

The OS rollout is very similar to the Windows 10 Desktop rollout in that you can be part of the Insider program if you like, you can leave it, or you can stay in the "Production" ring if that floats your boat.

WDRT will allow you to revert back to 8.1 (or I imagine, whatever current version of W10M is available)
