Windows Central Question

My system crashed due to an insider build, the one just after Ubuntu...reinstalled Home from and iso disc....trying to reinstall my Windows Pro disc, but it keeps coming up only as Home....doesn't seem to recognize the disc as a Pro disc...if I try and activate the Pro Key I get this error code: 0xc004f014...

Tried to go in and change the Boot Sequence in BIOS to allow the drive to read a disc first, but don't remember Administrator Password....

Two questions:

Is there a way to reset or get my Administrator Password, and change the boot sequence and then install Pro.

Or is there away around this error code so it will activate my Pro version?

Yes there are tools to reset the admin password but not legally. As for your pro code, call Microsoft and get them to help you out. Where did you buy your Pro from?

Install it, then upgrade Home -> Pro with the change product key dialog.

If you're referring to the password protecting the BIOS, you can probably get around that by using a "reset pw" jumper on the mainboard and/or removing the battery cell.
