Windows Central Question

why do I now require a password to log on?

My computer was locked when I got on it this morning. I downloaded Microsoft 10. How can I skip this step?

Windows 10 requires a password when you boot. Once in you can change to a pin number. It's a security thing, and If the pc has more than one user, by signing in, it displays the layout and settings for that user / other account.
