    a new Microsoft lumia 550 was sent to me from uk to Ghana, but whether I slot my nano sim card or not and I on it, I still have the sim card is missing or invalid, you can still make emergency calls if your mobile operator supports this. why?

    It might be a locked device and not an unlocked one.

    I had a Lumia 550 do this in work and it was a problem with the SIM where it had been cut down.
