Can you switch rings from fast to production

I just purchased a Lumia 640 and want to test Redstone out, but if it is too buggy can I switch to release ring after?

You can easily go up to Redstone.

HOWEVER, if you want to go back, you'll need to use the WDRT and revert to 8.1. You'll have to upgrade again to the 10586 production stuff.

If you switch to Production/Release Preview while on Redstone, what I believe will happen is that you will stay still until you're passed by the Production ring.
