    choosing between a SP3 (i5 256gb storage 8GB RAM) & SP4 (i5 128gb storage 4GB RAM)

The above are what my budget allow. I am sticking with Surface as no other Windows Convertible to my knowledge has the digitizer pen quality Surface has, while also having an excellent beyond FHD display, excellent build quality, and Microsoft's undying loyal support. So please no "go with the Toshiba, Asus, Xin Hao, Lao Qui 3588" type of responses please.

The following are the experiences I'm looking to improve upon.

-I want Photoshop, Adobe Premeire and Animation Software all to perform better, so do I absolutely have to have more RAM to see these things or is the Skylake i5 processor going to be whatll smooth out the experiences in these apps?

for software dealing with images and editing, more RAM is always better so go with the SP3. The newer processor is more efficient, not necessarily faster (both are i5)

    Okay thanks for that.

I think I might even look into the i7 SP3, as those seem to be just as low cost and get one of those new Melange Signature Type Covers.

I just want to know how the SP3 i5 & i7 compare to the SP4's i5. Is there much of a real-world difference?

I guess I should've named the title 3 or 4, instead of versus

the sp4 because it's newer is more expensive -and there have been issues with power management. So you're kind of better off getting the older version
