Windows Central Question

Id like to measure pulse and pace using the band while kayaking in calm water on a lake. There's a lot of splashing and its going to get a little wet from padding, but it wont be submerged unless I fall out of the kayak which is unlikely. The band is supposed to be "splash proof", but is it a good idea to wear it while paddling in a kayak?

By spec it should be ok. But if you can't afford another, probably not worth the risk. Submerging is a high risk. On the shower front which they also say not to do, it is likely heat that would open seals.

From Microsoft: Your Band is intended for indoor/outdoor use in the presence of rain, snow, or brief splashes of water.

IPX7: Protection against temporary immersion in water (at depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes).
