I don't know how to get it back. (But someone will. Maybe just drag and drop). But I suggest you and your husband each use separate sign-ons to this pc so you can each have your own look, feel, and avoid mishaps.

The thing with your issue is that with computers, there's many possible things you can be referring to. There are many places you can place an Email icon, whether the start menu, the desktop, etc.

I think the best thing to do is the try to push start and type in the name of the email program you use. (examples: Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)

If you use web browser based webmail, you just access it like any other website, you just need to know the name and a search engine can direct you. (e.g. Gmail, Outlook.com or Hotmail, Yahoo!)

Assuming you have W10, which I dont have to give you straight directions. Search for Outlook with/in Cortana. When she finds it
1. Right click and select Pin on start. If that options isn't available,
2. click on open containing folder or
3. properties >open containing folder.

After 2 or 3 right click on Outlook icon and pin on start (screen/menu)
