    what if I dont finish the win 10 download and the free upgrade runs out?

    As far as I'm aware Win10 will need to be installed and activated by the time the free upgrade is turned off.

    I'm pretty sure that your eligibility check is before the download. Normally, you have to pay for software before you can download it...

    I believe as long as the software started downloading from the update section, it should be okay
