I believe there is a new firmware for the 950XL which resolves the battery drain issue.
Can someone confirm to me this is true, and where and how i can get this firmware updated to my 950XL.
Also what is the latest firmware for the 950XL?
My current version is 1511
Firmware revision no.01078.00038.16025.39013
Hardware Revision no.4.0.1.1
OS Build 10.0.10586.494

Any advice would be much appreciated. Apart from the battery drain & sometimes gets warm, the phone is ok.
I also have a 640XL which i personally think is flawless, loved this phone until i unfortuntunatey dropped a cup on the screen and shattered it pretty bad.
Hence why i have a 950XL now.

Having updated firmware is just one of the potential solutions to issues related to battery drain. However, having outdated firmware isn't the only cause. There are other potential causes for battery drain, such as:
- low cellular signal;
- incompatible antenna and cellular operating frequencies;
- having too many apps running in the background;
- having an app that has a battery drain bug;
- accidentally launching the camera and keeping it active in your pocket or phone case;
- having the screen brightness set to maximum;
- disabling the auto-sleep function of the phone;
- etc.

If all these have been checked and double-checked (including the "etc."), then it most probably is a firmware issue. Chintan Gohel's methods of checking for the latest available firmware for your device in your location are recommended.

Here's the firmware update details:

Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL getting double-tap to wake, WiFi fixes in new firmware http://www.windowscentral.com/lumia-950-and-950-xl-getting-double-tap-wake-firmware

Also the latest Anniversary OS update is supposedly fixing some of the battery drain issues reported (the issue might be applicable to the 10586.xxx branch as well). Besides all this check gpobernardo's response above.
