I am unable to put appointments in the calendar, they disappear straightaway?

The phone is a couple of weeks old and I was able to put appointments the calendar, but not now.

Have you checked to see if there is an update to the calendar app?

Go to: App Store > hamburger menu in top left corner > Downloads and Updates > Check for updates
