I'm a long time fan of the IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad TrackPoint. I wouldn't change it for any touchpad in the world. At work we have Dell Latitude laptops with Dell TrackPoints and that's great for about 2 minutes and then you feel the pain in your finger from forcing the blue pointer to move the cursor. You could set the sensitivity higher but that just makes it harder to hit your target. The ThinkPad TrackPoint is a dream to use, even for hours of work. The ones HP and Dell have made will make you hate you forgot your real mouse at home in 10 minutes.
ThinkPads have at least 3 different designs for the pointers, and so my question is this:
Do any of you know of 3rd party pointers for Dell laptops? I'm looking one a pointer that looks like the tall one from ThinkPads. Lenovo calls it the dome shaped pointer or something like that.
