Why won't my phone stay on?

My Windows 8 phone just all of a sudden stopped working. Now my power button is broke so I normally have to wake my phone up by holding camera button. My phone worked just fine doing this but two for three days ago my phone wasn't getting any signal and I couldn't use any apps. So I let it die so I could charge it since that's my way of restarting it. But now my phone will only charge until it wakes up on its own and won't take a charge after that. My phone will only have 2percent charge and then it'll die again. It keeps doing this pattern of charge wake then die. I can't access nothing for the 2minutes it stays on. I don't know how to fix this or what even caused my phone to malfunction plz help

Sounds like whatever fault it has is getting worse. Probably needs a repair/replace.
