Windows Central Question

We have always used a password separate from our individual email accounts to gain access to our laptop. Today as I attempted to login as usual, I kept getting "your password is incorrect" and was prompted to use my windows live account password.

Any idea why this or how this could happen?

My husband is unavailable and it's apparently linked to his account, not mine.

there might have been an update that changed the account from local to email - if you can log in, just check in account settings
