I have a new Asus Laptop X540SA (not a 2 in 1) and I can use the trackpad, but my cursor will not appear, so I cannot log in (cannot type) to get past the log-in screen to do update the trackpad drivers as suggested in earlier posts.

Can you get a mouse from someone, just for doing first updates and use?

Keep pressing 'Tab' till the password/PIN field is highlighted. Type in your password/PIN. Once you get past the login screen...

Press Win+X. Use arrow keys to navigate to Device Manager
Navigate to the node that has your trackpad using 'Tab' and 'Arrow Keys'
Press the context menu key > Update drivers

    OR

press the windows key, type settings and hit return.
The settings app will open. Use Tab and arrow keys to go to Update and Security and perform Windows Update.
