Why does the windows store say it's already installed?

So i got a games on the windows store, when it wouldn't work after a few days i decided to uninstall it and reinstall it. But after i uninstalled it, i went back to the store only to find it saying it's already installed with an open button. i pushed the button and it opened a blank screen for a few minutes and then closed on its own. Any ideas?

You should wait a while and then check it again.

If on PC > make sure no store processes are running in the background. Kill them off using task manager. However just waiting a certain amount of time will allow the store to refresh and register the change on it's own.

if on mobile > hold down the back button and shut down the store. Soft reset for good measure and check again, but the same thing I said about waiting for awhile also applies here.

The store is a bit slow with registering changes
