I am working on a project and would like to use the RN4020 for the Bluetooth communications. I am able to communicate with the RN4020 and enumerate it's services using an android phone but I have been unsuccessful in doing it with my Windows 8.1 laptop or Windows 8 phone (both support BLE). The PC and phone can connect to the RN4020 in their Bluetooth menus but the applications I am using (BTLE Explorer, BLE Scanner, BLE Explorer, and some applications I have written) don't recognize the RN4020 as a valid BLE device. I purchased a Texas Instruments SensorTag for testing and I have no problems recognizing and writing to/reading from it on either the PC or the phone, so it appears it is either a configuration or hardware issue with the RN4020 rather than an issue with the code.
Has anybody been successful in getting the
RN4020 to play nicely inside the Windows environment?
