Why cant my phone start

[Windows Central Question]

My Lumia 535 won't start. I have tried charging it using the charger i bought it with but it won't even display the charging symbol. It has not been physicaly damaged. I have tried cold booting (power+volume down) but still no response. When I plug it to a computer the computer recorgnises a device has been pluged in and thats just it, it does not appear anywhere.

Hi, do you have another charger you can try?
Is the phone detected by the 'Windows Device Recovery Tool'?
