Windows Central Question

I have a lumia 930 which does not have an sd slot. It worked fine with windows 8 and 8.1 the problem is with windows 10. All apps that come with device so they cant be uninstalled and store, crash. I have done a hard reset this works for a little while then the same problem. The crash is in two types one I try and open the app has loading then goes back to homepage or I will be browsing an app and the link or image I am looking at closes back to the home page. I have 15.9GB used out of 29.1GB so I have plenty of memory. I have the latest update.

The fixes for laptops obviously dont work what else can I try?

Also tried store app storage cleaner and it is not a windows insider preview

since you've done a hard reset, I think you would be able to do this too:
use windows device recovery tool to restore the original OS on your phone, then use upgrade advisor to get windows 10 mobile
Check for OS updates, install, check again, install
Then perform a factory reset, no restore
Then check for app updates - begin with store app, then core apps a few at a time, then other apps
Remove apps not needed
Finally, add your own apps a few at a time
Soft reset

Hope that helps

There are 4 types of Reset...
  • Soft Reset
  • Hard Reset
  • Factory Reset
  • WDRT

Soft Reset is holding the Volume Down & Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 15 seconds). This reboots the phone with a cleared out RAM and Cache. No data is lost. It is good for when the phone freezes or you experience a glitch of some sort.

Hard Reset really should be a last resort. Use Hard Reset when the phone is completely unresponsive and no other method will work.
  • Power off the phone > hold Volume Down > press Power > keep holding Volume Down until you see the exclamation (!) screen, then immediately release the Volume Down
  • Now tap Volume Up / Volume Down / Power / Volume Down
  • You should see the spinning gears and your phone will reflash the last OS version held in recovery. You do loose data, but get your phone back. Sign into your Microsoft Account and restore your backup during the set up.

Factory Reset is Done through Settings > About > Reset your phone (8 & 8.1) or Settings > System > About > Reset your phone (W10M).

  • You should see the spinning gears and your phone will reflash the last OS version held in recovery. You do lose data, but get your phone back. Sign into your Microsoft Account and restore your backup during the set up.

In case of Hard Reset & Factory Reset the phone goes back to the exact version you were running when you performed the reset.

WDRT For right now, Windows Device Recovery Tool is only flashing 8.1 to models that did not launch with 10 so it is the way to revert if you don't care for W10M: Windows Device Recovery Tool FAQ
