Windows Central Question

I have two Lumia's: 925 and 625.

Since we try to have as less radiation as possible (if possible at all, but I don't want to go into that discussion) around the house we switch our phones to airplane mode as much as possible. Off course also at nights.

Now, I discovered with a special measuring device, which is able to measure all kinds off radiation) that these lumia's frequently send a signal even when it is on airplane mode (with Wifi, NFC, BT off). The strangest thing is even that this is NOT occurring when the phone is normally on, but only when the lock-screen is active. (with or without Glance where applicable)

I notice a peek in send-signal every 5 seconds. I tried playing around with several settings but the devices keep doing this..

Is anybody familiar with this?

Tape over the top of the display? There's a small window that lets the sensor "peek" through, which functions not unlike a radar speed gun used by Police.

Of course, it can also be something else.
