Windows Central Question

Hi,
your windows 10 updates along with previous windows 8 continue to disappoint.
unfortunately there seems to be no way to avoid updates despite setting up metered connection etc. and once I finally agreed to run the update it got stuck at 91% after literally running for more than 12 hours. I really don't want to spend my time in forums trying to figure out a way to keep my pc running as it is - could you please advice the easiest way to solve this issue or avoid the update from being forced at all?
Thanks

Hi and welcome to windows central.

The fast and easier way to update to anniversary update is to use media creation tool from Microsoft website and make a bootable disc then update your system. This is the best practice as there is minimal chance of your system getting stuck on or during the update.

If you want to ignore the anniversary update on windows 10 PC , simply go to advanced setting under update and tick the box next to Differ Updates, this will enable you to get the threshold 2 future cumulative builds and ignore the anniversary update altogether.
