groove crashing

Groove is repeatedly crashing. Restart, hit play, resumes fine for a few minutes, then crashes.

This is happening only after the last couple of preview build updates, and only on my desktop PC. Also the icons are just showing as little bracket boxes - see the attached screen shot.
