Calling problems on 640

[Windows Central Question]

Hello guys,

I'm having some problems with my 640. I can't make calls or start WhatsApp and when someone calls me, they receive the message that my phone is off. I've already made a Hard and soft reset.

Hmm, I believe the problem might be with your sim. Can you try getting a new sim from your carrier?

I'm not sure if the problem is with the sim, every time that i restart the phone it Works for a few minutes.

Ok well we have that out of the way. The other option would be to go full nuke on the phone and use the windows device recovery tool.Since you have a 640 you shouldn't have any issues with the program not recognizing your phone.However keep in mind, that if you're currently on windows 10 and you decide to use the recovery tool, it will downgrade you to whatever OS version the phone shipped with (whatever it had when you first booted it up).Have you considered trying with a different Sim? doubt it, but worth a shot
