how do I get my external mouse to show a cursor on my screen?

I have a mouse that i plug into my laptop. I recently took my laptop in to get cleaned and while they had it, they upgraded it from windows 8 to windows 10.
now my mouse does not show a cursor, but sometimes it shows up on screen but won't move. How do I fix this simply?

Hi Welcome to Windows Central. Not sure what your problem is? You have a mouse that you plug in?? Is it wired or wireless? What do you show in devise manager?
Are there any yellow marks. If you need more help, please join the forum!
