Windows Central Question

With my printer/scanner attached, the only way I can get a scan is to

Cortana

Control Panel

View devices and printers (this takes a long time to open)

Select HP Photosmart 4400

Scan a document

Scan

There must be a simpler way! Clues?

Hi! Welcome to Windows Central. Yes when you click on devices and printers, it takes a long time to open. This seems to be a W10 bug. You might try to update your HP printer driver. Here's a link for your support for your printer. I know of no simpler way. How has your scan procedure changed or different from before W10? You can put a shortcut for your printer on your desk top. Right click on the printer and create short cut! Send it to your desk top!
