    My user account settings has been changed to standard settings, now I am not able to change it in either of way, every time it ask me do you want windows to make changes to your system but does give me opportunity to give me permission. i have tried all the 4 methods prescribed by you please help. i am using windows 10.

    How did this happen? Windows requires an Administrator account, so if yours was the only account, it wouldn't be locked to a standard account. Is your machine infected?

    That makes absolutely no sense to me. UAC is different from account type. Changing UAC level does not change your account type.

    Because of not being the administrator of my account, when ever I try to make a change, I get the message "Do you want this app to make changes to your device?". The resulting screen has a NO possible box to click but there is no YES box available. I assume this is because I switched from Administrator to Standard user myself. As a result I can't access the user account settings screen because I am not the Administrator anymore.
