I can't connect to the wifi; Media Disconnected

[Windows Central Question]

Hi, since YTD, I've been trying to use my laptop (Aspire V5-473PG, Windows 8) to connect to my brother's wifi. However, I can't connect to the wifi, it kept saying 'Can't connect to this network'. However, my iPhone is able to connect to it.

I tried finding out my IP address using the command prompt but it says media disconnected. What should I do?

P.S I'm able to connect to another wifi of my Brother using the laptop but not to the other one. However, the other one is faster hence I wish to connect to that one instead of the one that I've connected to.

Hi, have you tried restarting your laptop and also the router?
