Lumia changing itself to silent mode

On my Lumia 640XL I find that when in lock screen mode (i.e. most of the time) if you hold down the "volume down" button for one sec the phone switches to silent with vibrate on. This is a stupid feature since it can easily happen when the phone is in your pocket. If anyone knows how to disable this "feature" I would like to know because it has caused me to miss calls. I cannot find anything in settings.

Hi, I don't believe you can change this.
However if your phone is in your pocket, the screen should be off and when it is off pressing the volume button down doesn't switch to silent.
Unless there is some problem with your phone.
