Windows Hello not functioning... why is that?

Hello, there. When I turned on my phone, I was not greeted by the usual, "Hello, (insert name)". I'm unsure why Windows Hello suddenly stopped working. For context, I own a Lumia 950xl, had it for 3 or 4 months, and purchased it from the official Microsoft Store.

See the winking face? Oh wait, it's not there. Honestly, I don't know why this happened, and I really enjoy the novelty of facial recognition although it's not practical. I hope they develop this technology further, so the efficacy becomes conduicive.

Was this after the last update?

I assume you double checked your settings. Have you tried Soft Reset? Tried toggling Hello off, reboot, toggle on and set up again?

Yep, I checked my settings, and Windows Hello is activated. The soft reset fixed the issue... that's weird. I'm positive I tried the soft reset before. Oh well, thanks for the advice
