Try to check the store if you have an update for OneDrive. If you do, try that first and see if it works.

Also see if you can open the app too and if it loads normally. There could be an error with the app.

Sometimes this error is shown even after a successful backup. Open your OneDrive (on the web) and check your backups. It will mention the date of the latest backup.
