I can't get my phone to back up text messages

Hi,

5 days ago, I upgraded my 640 from 8.1 to 10. I cloud - backed up messages, and backed them up locally using the app aswell. Then I factory reset the phone and upgraded.

So now my W10 won't use the cloud back up (on either contacts or sms) and doesn't want to read my backup+restore local files. What do I do?

during sign up, did you sign in using the same email account as before? and have you set messages download to any time so that all messages come back? This is in the message app settings
