How do I fix bugs on my sd card?

I keep getting a message saying 'errors detected on sd card'. It says I should back up before I fix the errors/bugs so that I don't lose anything (which I've then done) but I can't find where to go to now fix the errors/ bugs? Help!

I'm no tech wiz but....turn your phone off then restart and see if an option for a scan on your SD card comes up. I've been told a few times in the past that there is an error on my SD card and would I like to scan now? This option only appears after I have restarted my phone though..
