I have a surface book w/ 1gb nvidia gpu. Can I upgrade it to a configuration w/ 2gb nvidia gpu, either by changing the gpu itself or buying a separate keyboard part? If latter is the case, can I trade in my current keyboard part?

That would be a great idea, but, I am not sure it is possible. I don't think it has any user upgradeable parts either. You are basically stuck with whatever configuration you purchased.

    1. Surface Book and upgradeable are not words that go together.

    2. Maybe if you can get someone with the 2 GB to switch with you.

    3. MS doesn't do base swaps unfortunately.

    Pretty much nailed it.

Check this out for just how upgrade unfriendly the Surface Book is.
