Windows Central Question

I have 2 tablets that were a MS edition. They came with Windows 8.1 with Bing and not all the regular OEM stuff. One tablet has a cracked screen, but it still works fine. I'd like to create a VM on my NAS using the Windows 8.1.

I tried to create a image of the tablet 'drive', but the system won't let me. I have intermittent luck with backup and recovery seeing a USB device plugged into the micro USB port. I've tried a few ISO images, but none like the key I was able to get from the tablet. I've also tried using AOMEI Backupper Standard to make an image, but it's not able to see the 'C drive' on the tablet.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

So, you want to use your tablet Windows 8.1 on another machine, is that correct? I am not sure that is possible, the license and code is, most likely, tied to that device. So any attempt to use the same code on a machine with different hardware won't work.
