Windows Central Question

I received a call from <phone number redacted> telling me my email & ICS? had been hacked & complaints were made against my info. Please advise if this is fraud.

Thank you,
Caprice

Hi Caprice,

This is almost certainly a scam. There are scammers who claim to be from "Windows Support" or something similar and they con their way into remotely accessing your machine and then they can scan your PC for personal files, financial information, or else they'll install malware or ransomware to further increase your pain. I'd say you can go ahead and ignore this phone call.

Microsoft support would never contact you out of the blue. And they would only contact you via chat or email. It is very rare they would actually call you. At least with my experience of them at least. Report the number, it's a scam.
