Full bars with no 4g

I have a Tmobile Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Its been a great phone since I got it, but recently I have moved to a somewhat smaller town and the 4g has not been working, despite having full bars. Even when I went in to the big city and had full bars, I still could not use 4g. I looked up coverage for my area and it seems like I should be getting 4g?

If you go to your settings for your network does it say what is your preferred network type? Maybe that's been switched off somehow?
