Yesterday I tried to update my phone lumia 640 from 14393 to 15063.2 it got failed because of slow internet connection (i believe). I have tried it twice now its showing my internal storage as full and pending update is taking about 1.4 gb how can I free it up? I tried restarting and soft reset they didn't work. What should I do now?

I had this problem and my reluctant solution was a factory reset.

The amount of memory freed up is astonishing, if you have the courage.

Done carefully, a factory reset works wonders even if it takes time.

Do uninstall all high storage usage apps like FB, Massager, WhatsApp etc. B sure that your storage is blank at least 1.7gb.

It's very difficult for me to free 1.7 gb in my 8 gb lumia 640 because already about 1.4 gb is consumed for that pending update

Another thing
Once it happened that I tried to install a game if size about 500 mb(I guess) and the storage was not sufficient the memory got consumed like this only and it got freed automatically after 3 or 4 days will this also work same?
Do I have any sort of junk clear technology that free my space?
Can I use any apps to free out this pending update space?

I'm sorry but there's no apps that can do that for you on this platform. Try clearing all temporary files in storage, along with your Microsoft Edge history.

A factory reset might be your best bet.
