Exchange issue

I'm having problems syncing with my work exchange account on Win 10 on both PC and phone (Lumia 640). It hasn't worked on PC for a while; I get a message that the settings are out of date, so I enter the current password (which it already has), and within a few seconds I get the same "out of date" message.

Syncing had been working fine on the Lumia until this morning. My exchange password expired while I was out on vacation, so I couldn't update it until I returned to the office today. I put the updated password in Outlook on the phone, but I noticed that my work appointments weren't updating. I decided to remove the exchange account from my phone, then add it back to see if that would take care of the issue, and now I'm getting the same "out of date" message on my phone. I'm on the slow ring on the phone, running build 15063.138.

I've lived with this issue on the PC, but I'll be really unhappy if I can't find a solution for this on the phone. Any thoughts?
