Windows Central Question

I lost my phone and I'm afraid my data will be accessed, I checked my device status on Microsoft support and it says my data protection is on, I always update my software so my device should have the Windows mobile 10 build 15007 which is said to encrypt sd cards. But does this automatically mean my lost Sd card is encrypted given that Microsoft support says my data is protected as of today. Very worried.

Remember turning on device encryption? There are two switches, one for the phone at the top of the page and one for the SD card further down.

Neither is automatically turned on, this has to be done by the user.
