Do Windows phones support sd cards? Are they compatible with Windows computers?

Windows Central Question

I am asking because ever since Google introduced this nutty "adaptive storage", which not every manufacturer supports, by the way, using SD cards with Android has become a nightmare. Ideally, a phone would have its SD card readable by a computer instead of being usable only in that phone. I am hoping that Windows phones would be more sensible about that. Incidentally, how much internal storage do Windows phones have?

Windows Phone works the same as Android's default.

You can completely ignore adoptable storage and use an SD card just fine with Android, Windows, Windows Phone, etc. Just don't encrypt your SD card in 10 Mobile.
