Trying to assist a friend with a second hand (factory reset) Dell Latitude 10 - ST2 tablet.
He received it running Windows 8 which we've upgraded it to Windows 8.1 directly from the store, which was successful. After that, applied all windows updates, among which were some optional driver updates.
That required a restart, and now the device "shuts down windows" within seconds of getting to the login screen.
I expect it's a driver issue based on the timing. I have not been able to get into safe mode though
- tried USB keyboard
- tried power + volume up
- tried power + volume down
Is there a way to boot into safe mode and disable drivers or remove updates?
I've also tried to get to the factory restore option (shift on the onscreen keyboard and restart) but it shuts down too quickly for that.
Any insight or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
