Windows 10 *update 'x' * -crashes- my comp once instaled

[Windows Central Question]

I am using windows 10 and am accepting all updates, patches etc.

from memory I have an i7 5820K on a X99 Pro and a 980ti..
3 Monitor setup

One of the updates I get makes my computer pretty much unusable, so I format and start again..

To elaborate on unusable I mean..
The computer boots, POST fine. etc.

As the login screen opens my monitors turn off (1&3) 2 stays on but leaves black screen.

Ive tried going back into windows setup and unistalling the update but windows says it cant... every option that invloves 'undoing' .. that I can find... doesnt work...

sooo..
currently trying to disable windows 'bloody' updates... have tried services.msc - windowsupdate stop.. disabled.. but keeps coming.. have tried GPEDIT etc.
tried ..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

DWORD val 2
still no success..

basically.. id like to.. Install all updates windows throws at me.. but i cant because of above...

any help please ?

Might be a driver update? You can block individual updates with this troubleshooter: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab

If you know exactly which update is causing it, that would let you block just that one update.
