Windows Central Question

My wife's daily alarm sounds on her Lumia 640 smartphone and our Windows 10 computer at the same time, which isn't so bad except that when she dismisses it on her phone it continues to sound on the computer until it is dismissed separately there.

Why is this happening, and why doesn't dismissing the alarm on the phone stop the alarm on the computer? This seems to have begun with the latest update of Windows on the computer, which is running Windows 10 Pro v1703, build 15063.540.

Is it an alarm (Alarms & Clock app), a calendar reminder, or another app?

The built-in alarms app doesn't sync alarms (as far as I know) so they should only sound on the device it was set on. Maybe you set it on both devices?

Calendar reminders should dismiss automatically but it takes a minute.

You could also put the computer in sleep or mute the sound/notifications, as a workaround.

mine does that all the time, but on my laptop if I leave it open... but when I dismiss it on my phone it stops on my lappy also.. you just gotta wait a few minutes, OR something is wrong with the communications on each device. I find it a great feature!
