Given that Microsoft is going all in on it's launcher for Android and IOS. How difficult would it be for them to re create a live tile interface? (even superficially)

If they were able to do this would you want it?

Yes. I just want the WP outlook experience on the other platforms. I miss the calendar live tile and week view.

Possible but it would be piggybacking off of your phone's notifications. Widgets are the best you can do for now.

Actually live tiles work pretty good on android with many apps supporting the feature already, Facebook, Instagram, Googles apps, Microsofts apps and many more. Launcher 10 when paid for does an amazing job at replicating w10m.

Android's widgets are functionally the actionable live tiles we'd been hearing about coming on Windows phone. They've been around for years already. The complaints about widgets are that they don't all look the same and that they aren't on every app.

I imagine it would have to piggy back through the notifications, If they could produce a launcher that had a live tile interface on Android "guts" I'd probably go for it.

Progressive Web Apps will support live tiles. Whether this capability will be available on an android home screen, I do not know.
