Just today, I changed the registry files to trick Windows 10 Mobile into thinking I had a 950 XL.
I used the new WPInternals 2.4 build.
I'm currently at 15254.249, because of that.

Steps...

Unlock Bootloader
Enable Root Access

Open regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
File >> load hive
MainOS (whatever letter that was assigned) >> Windows/system32/config and select SYSTEM
Enter any name (ex: My phone)
Platform >> DeviceTargetingInfo
Change the VALUE from NOKIA to MicrosoftMDG
Change PhoneManufacturerModelName to RM-1085_11302
Change PhoneModelName to Lumia 950 XL
Change PhoneHardwareVariant to RM-1085

Disable Root Access
Restore Bootloader
