Windows Central Question

My friend want's to sell her 15 inch 2 in 1 Q series ASUS laptop. She claims it's got

i7, 16 gigs of ram, and a gtx 950m

She wants to sell it for 700$, which seemed like a steal considering online it looked like it was worth closer to 1300$. It's barely used, in great condition. Doing some research on this site, though, I saw the Dell g15 series was recommended for budget gaming.

i5, 8 gigs of ram, gtx 1050 ti

which seems like it will run games much better, for only 20 dollars more.

So, what benefit will the i7 and extra ram really get me? Is it still a great deal to go for the ASUS or should I just get the brand new Dell?

The bigger processor and more RAM will help do multitasking, running your browser with a hundred tabs open, that sort of thing. The Dell would give you a better graphics card, so it depends on which games you're hoping to run to determine which PC would better suit your needs.

Welcome to the forums. Are you going to play video games with the laptop? If so, I would go for the newer Dell with the better GPU.

If not, I would ask your friend if she would consider going a little lower on the price.
